Next stop...Disney World!!

OK, as reported earlier, my 3YO needs to know our agenda. This one has not been in it and she is not happy about that. 3YO's are not patient people. As soon as I got off the phone with the lovely Disney reservationist, I turned around to find both girls with their jackets on announcing that they are ready to leave for Disney now!

Anyway, aside from the regular decision you have to make when planning a vacation...when/ where do we go? How much do we have to spend? Going to Disney brings up another batch of questions! We are staying on property so we will not need a car rental. I have found a couple places that will even deliver groceries right to our room, so we will have some fresh food available without the Disney price tag. But what about the sheer number of dining choices? I narrowed it down (and booked) 4 character meals and one a bit fancier for us. But did I make good choices? Is the time right? What parks do we visit on what days? How much cothing will we need? Yes, there is laundromats available on site, but do I really want to wash clothes while there? ITs my vacation , too!

I have no idea if we will get to every parade or get to see all the shows we want to see,a nd I am sure we will not get on all the rides we want to go on, even if we will be there 4 full days and 2 partial days.

Do we hire an in room sitter for an adult night out, or use that money to get My Pal Mickey? De we "Child swap" adult rides, or just bypas them altogether and cater more tot he kiddos? Which stroller, if any do we take with us?

Fortunately I do not have to make every decision immediately and I am getting help. I never knew how many "unofficial" Disney sites there are out there at our disposal. I am been reading lots and posts questions all over the net. I first heard out our free dining plan through mousesavers.com, then started posting questions at Mouseplanet. That lead me to Allears.net. I also started reading on I-village's page since I go there for parenting support, too. Then I went and goggled and came up with at least 2 more.

Who knew that booking a family vacation would take on a life of its own? Although it seems so far away (125 days according to my Disney vacation planner site) it will go quickly (Although not quick enough in the girls' eyes!) and I will be saying "Next stop Disney!" soon enough, then "Next stop home" even sooner.

I'm going to Disney World!!!

Yeah, I've been there before but this will be my first time staying on property and the first time going as a parent! I can't wait! I got us a smokin deal, and we are going in August.

SO much to plan, and do, and read about! My head is spinning, but I know we are going! I got flight and trip confirmations!!

Not too much to save, we used our tax return! Yay us!!

Ok, I need sleep. Rather, I need to get some sleep before it gets interrupted. Church seems to come earlier on some Sundays! LOL!
