A Funny Thing Happens
A funny thing happens when I sit down to blog. The dishes seem to scream louder than ever. The baby wakes from his nap. The 3 YO will fall off something and need kisses and hugs. The 5YO will call because she forgot "Something". I will notice the date and rush off to a meeting. I will simply forget that is why I logged on in the first place.
There will be cards to make (Which means saying and poems to research), laundry to fold, homework to supervise, dinner to make, eat or clean up. It will be too late or too early, or I will be too tired.
Then as I look longingly at my beloved computer as I step away, I think "Hmm, I really miss blogging". So here I sit, baby in my lap, 3YO "reading" to her teddy, 5YO at school, laundry going, dishes caught up.
I sit still in my jammies, but about to shower. I am happy, relaxed and well, uninspired. Today's entry is simply an effort to keep my blog alive. I hope maybe today something worth blogging about will happen. And I hope I can find the time to blog it!!

And oddly enough, it’s one of your best posts yet, as it effectively describes something so very common, if not universal. And it’s not just about blogging, it’s about the human condition. Well done.
Remember, posts don’t have to be long. Sometimes a short “I just saw a funny-looking dog” entry is just fine.
